Guided tours of the Museum are offered during the summer on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 1-4 pm. During the fall, from September 1 to October 15, tours are offered Friday, Saturday, and, Sunday between 1-4.

Tours are about an hour long, and navigate three stories of the house.  While the house is not accessible by mobility assistive devices, our tour guides do offer the same information (and more!) in conversation on the grounds and in the Corn Barn.

The tour shares stories about enslavement, indentured servitude, ministry, abolitionism, kinship networks, domestic labor, and women’s history as they appear in the lives and legacies of the people who lived and worked at Forty Acres. This is part of a broader reinterpretation to elevate the stories of all the people who lived and worked on the land that is Forty Acres and its Skirts.

Tours are $5 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under. Cash only. Free admission for up to 4 adults and children with EBT, WIC, or ConnectorCare card. Mass Cultural Council's Card to Culture program is a collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the WIC Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector.
